Almost everyone can quote Isaiah, chapter 2, or Micah, chapter 4 (identical verses), “They shall beat their swords into plowshares … nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” What a glorious day that will be!
That day comes after nations stop being ruled by gold and silver, chariots, pride, hatred and idols. It comes when we have been humbled. In the meanwhile, Solomon reasoned in Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, “To everything there is a season … A time for war and a time for peace.” What time is it now?
If you had any questions from a Biblical point of view, that may help with the answers. Three to five thousand years ago, God Himself sent Israel to war. None of us are immune from “the terror of the Lord,” which now is subject at all times to “the peace of Christ.” And that is merely the background. So, what about Iran?
This may be the easiest war to weigh and understand since the Vale of Siddim in Genesis 14, when Lot was taken captive and Abraham rescued him.
Iran is a great nation, full of Persian people, ruled by desperately wicked men in a violently desperate religious zealotry, whose singular, religiously motivated Shiite desire is, “death to Israel and America!” They encourage and support all efforts to wipe Israel from the map. While Israel responds to weaken Iran’s terrorist military tools and murderous warmakers, Iran’s efforts intentionally target civilians.
The goal of Iran is genocide. Make no mistake: their brand of warfare exclusively rejoices in dead Jews, the obliteration of Israel, and dead Christians. They absolutely rejoice in dead Jews: men, women, children, the elderly, infants, the hospitalized and infirm. The Ayatollah and his leadership seek nothing else.
Iran was blessed with great wealth. It currently stands among the 25 richest nations on earth, and given new perspectives, it could rise to stand with the top 10! Yet nearly 60% of the Persian people are grossly impoverished. They just are not important to the Islamic leaders, compared with killing Jews.
The solution for the Persian people means the rejection of the Iranian Shiite ideals. The source of the name, Iran, came about in 1935. The current Resa Shah renamed the Persian nation, “The Aryan People,” Iran, in solidarity with Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in 1933. The Shah’s goals and ambitions centered on the same genocidal antisemitism as the Nazis. Hitler naturally loved the idea, and the two aligned nations became principal trading partners. (Behind closed doors, Adolf rejected the notion that Persians were true Aryan people. He scoffed at their inferior, “diluted” Aryan race. War? Is it right? You can decide this for yourself, but there is little doubt in any rational mind what Iran seeks to do with nuclear weapons. As President Donald Trump clearly states, Iran must never, ever be allowed to possess the nuclear option. Never!
